One strand safety belt has a one piece lock carrier and fastening screw and lock link for insert, is in one work piece pressed from thin steel or formed from round material. The carrier should fit on to the screw head. To avoid injury carrier should have a soft covering. The carrier stabilised by forming should be of a section this enough to be bent by hand. Production of the carrier is cheaper than other known makes as little labour is involved. The other end of the safety belt is fastened to the superstructure or prop shaft cover.
