Toy waterway with transparent cover - harbours landscaping, toy boats and magnetic control rods under watertight cover

A toy water basin comprises a landscape relief e.g. river, coastline, harbours etc., with toy boats magnetically controlled by hand-operated rods, and a transparent cover plate preventing escape of water even when the basin is turned upside down. At the ends of the control rods are magnets underneath the basin and allowing movement of the boats as desired by cooperation with iron bars mounted vertically in the front half of the hull of the boats in the form of a keel, so that the bows of the boat always point towards the magnet and in the direction of travel. Around the hull of the boat is a plastics edge at the level of the water surface, or beneath the hull is a peripherally projecting plastics plate, preventing the boat from adhering to the basin walls by suction.
