Separator for machined workpieces from swarf - has sieve and tumbling arrangement able to deal with different sized parts

The separator consists of a work container (1) and feed pipe with an inlet control. The hexagon or octagonal sieve drum (3) has two circular rotating rims and is driven by motor and two wheels (5) with a vibrator unit and all mounted on a frame. The slant of the sieve drum towards the work discharge slide can be adjusted by a handwheel (24). As the drum rotates cuttings fall through the slots into a funnel whilst work pieces slide towards the discharge end. An air blower and jet (17) at this end blow any cuttings clinging to work back, and has a flexible tube for choice of position. A second sieve drum can have larger slots inside the first drum.
