The purpose is to design a swimming pool which can be readily adapted to varying sizes of small cellars or basements, and where the components can be brought down confined cellar stairs or passed through small cellar windows and where the finished pool will have a pleasing natural rustic appearance, and be easily assembled, easily maintained and durable. It incorporates a sealing basin foil in the basin body. The beams used for building up the side walls are joined, one on top of another, by tongues and grooves, and fixed at their ends to beams which lie across them. At an interval from their ends they may have quarter-depth cuts for insertion of adjacent beams at right angles. There can be spaced vertical supports, with end flanges for screwing to floor and/or ceiling, ending below the edge beams.
