Transporter for two ladles in continuous casting plant - where one ladle is swung by pivot arms over the other ladle

In a process for the alternate transportation of casting ladles between a filling station and a casting station, using a ladle carrying device, esp. in continuous casting plants, the paths of the ladles, to and from the filling and casting stations, are located one on top of the other. During changeover of the ladles, one pref. travels along a straight path while the other follows a curved path, or both paths may be followed by each ladle in one complete cycle. The pref. devices include a trolley running along a track and carrying one ladle while two pivot arms swing a second ladle in an arc above the track. Requires little space and permits rapid changeover of the ladles.
