The spare key is used for safety switching lock or alternatively the key is formed in another version whose shank has different shape. This spare key be used only if the original key has been lost inadvertently. The shank of this spare key is formed so that its shape deviates considerably from the shape of the basic key shank. However, it can be handled just as readily as the correct key. The handle part of the substitute key is shaped unconventionally and this key is always held in a certain place. The spare key handle shank can have corrugated shape as opposed to the round flat plate shaped handle with a hole.
