摘要
The apparatus is used for storing digitalised analog signals on magnetic tapes, while using domestic tape recorders and tapes instead of special instruments. The process is based on the high redundancy of continuous analog signals, which are digitalised and recorded in two tape tracks, one for the digital signal and the other for a reference signal. Recorder words comprise a determinate number of data bits and additional address bits, each word being separated from the next by more than one bit. When faultily recorded words are read they are recognised by comparison of both tracks and corresponding addresses are marked as faulty in the working store of the reader, so that they can be subsequently eliminated.
