Mech. handling unit transferring goods from store to despatch pallets - suction head raises layer of cartons for transport to asigned pallet

A mechanical handling system for warehouses allows stacked goods to be extracted from store and transported to assigned despatch pallets. Cartons are stacked in layers on a main store pallet and are located in a collection unit. A layer of cartons is lifted vertically by a suction head device. A transfer carrier is moved horizontally along rails until it locates under the raised cartons held in the collection unit. When suction is switched off the cartons are transported to the assigned despatch pallet. The suction head may be replaced with an electro-magnetic unit or grab if required.
