The lower roll assembly is deposited on the rails by guide rollers for changing the rolls. The upper assembly is displaced in relation to the lower one and supported. This arrangement is designed to simplify and facilitate automatic roll change of superposed roll assemblies. The rolls can be changed even if the roller material is still with in the rolling stand. The upper support roll assembly is provided with dismantling rails (8) and the drive end fo the upper working roll is provides with guide rollers (9) which engage with the guide rails. The drive end of the lower working rolls has facing pieces (10) which are retracted in the rest position.
