An illuminated indicator for international use is intended for display outside hotels to indicate the availability of rooms. The indicator has a rectangular cover with a symbolic representation of a bend and this may be illuminated by green light to indicate the availability of rooms or by a red light to indicate that all rooms are taken. The absence of any form of light indicates that the hotel is closed. The object of the indicator is to enable potential guests to determine room availability without leaving their vehicles.
