An urethral stone removal device has a simple noose which can be operated by a cord running the length of the catheter, at the distal end of which the ston e removal sling or noose is situated. It is constructed such that the cord forms the noose outside the catheter, by exiting from a hole (5) in the catheter wall and by attachment to a securing point (6). An end piece (7) of the catheter beyond the cord fastening is at least as long as the cord noose. The end piece (7) is angled at less than 45 deg. at the catheter tip (9). The catheter tip (9) is of olive (8) shape.
