A carrier bound indicator for the analytical determin. of chemical characteristics of liquids contains an indicator (I) which has substantive properties and is not bound to the carrier (II) covalently. (I) pref. undergoes a characteristic colour change and can be a pH, redox, or metal indicator and pref. is a diazonium cpd. These indicators have satisfactory resistance to bleeding for practical purposes.
