The invention combines the sensor and the electronic circuit it activates. The combined unit (3) and the magnetic valve (2) are fitted into cavities in the stoneware of the basin (1), so that the building work of installation is reduced to a single operation. The magnetic valve (2) can with advantage be combined with the connector for the water supply (4), which is best fitted with an easily-accessible stopcock. The water connector (4) is made to build into the wall, thus playing a part in the fixing of the basin. This arrangement avoids faults arising during the mounting process and reduces total costs.
