Foot and hand propelled bicycle - with operator in rowing position for maximum mechanical advantage

The bicycle, or tricycle, has an upright seat on which the operator sits, with his legs tucked up, and his feet on raised pedals. The hands of the operator grip reciprocating levers (16) coupled to the front wheel by a chain drive. The pedals operate a reciprocating drive to the back wheels. Both drives have freewheel facilities and the vehicle is propelled by the operator 'rowing'. This provides maximum mechanical advantage with the weight of the operator used for greater force.
