The human head model is intended for acoustic recording systems and is used to give the listener the impression that he is in the recording studio or room himself by simulating as exactly as possible the acoustic properties of the human head. Each of the model head ears has a microphone (4) whose rear is connected via an air channel (6) to the model head nose. This air channel is constructed to resemble the Eustachian tube and nasal cavity of live humans. The outer part (3) of the microphone sound duct corresponding to the middle ear is lined with attenuating material along its side walls.
