1498129 Olefin polymer compositions CHEMISCHE WERKE HULS AG 21 May 1975 [8 Aug 1974] 21756/75 Heading C3P Thermoplastic embedding agents for floor tiles comprise (1) 5 to 95 weight per cent of a substantially amorphous polyolefin selected from homopolymers of propylene and butene-1 and copolymers thereof with one another and/or ethylene, or a mixture thereof with 5 to 70 weight per cent of a synthetic rubber, (2) 0 to 20 weight per cent of a drying oil, (3) 0 to 85 weight per cent of inorganic filler, (4) 95 to 5 weight per cent of a polybutene oil and (5) 0 to 5 weight per cent of a surface active substance. The compositions may also contain fibrous reinforcements, e.g. of asbestos, glass or natural or synthetic polymers. Examples describe compositions comprising (1) amorphous polybutene-1, propylene/butene-1 copolymer optionally with ethylene/propylene/ethylidene norbornene copolymer rubber, polypropylene or butene-1/ethylene copolymer; (2) polybutadiene and/or linseed oil with cobalt octoate drier; (3) fillers selected from talc, quartz, kaolin, barytes and graphite; (4) polybutene oil and (5) oleic acid ester of ethoxylated glycerol, sodium tetrapropylenebenzenesulphonate, nonylphenol polyglycol ether or ethoxylated castor oil.
