The file can travel in a straight line, at an angle and also for filing internal and external radii and curves. The file is held on a support bar guided by a parallelogram frame. This has an arm which rotates in the plane at 90 deg. to the filing direction and is arranged on one side of the workpiece. A bearing of this arm guides the rod of a rotating and longitudinally sliding frame in which the file is able to rotate about its longitudinal axis. The arm is held on the workbench by the pivoted joint and a fixing clamp.
