Hydrostatic support bearing with a freely adjustable clearance gap allowing constant throughput of oil in the smallest possible quantities. The bearing comprises two bearer discs, in one (1) of which a pressure oil pocket (3) is incorporated, and on the inside of the pocket edge at least one auxiliary disc (4) is arranged, freely movalbe, in the direction of the counter disc (2). The inside of the pocket edge (2) and the opposite surface (4') of the auxiliary disc (4) are arranged at an angle which is inclined to the bearer disc surface. The auxiliary disc has a trapezoid-shaped cross-section.
