Flexible or rigid double-walled air bubble mat connected to a fan or compressor, for use in bath tub, comprises within the longitudinal or cross section of the mat several air chambers (2) which have perforations (1) at the top and which extend in different directions. The air chambers communicate with each other in partial air-conducting relationship and in controllable air conducting relationship with an air-distributing system, e.g. multi-way tap or rotary or slide valve system, mounted on the mat and supplied from the fan. The perforations are arranged along straight or curved paths in the longitudinal and transverse or in other directions of the mat surface (3) in which are provided channels (5).
