Ball joint for steering linkage of vehicle - with reduced space requirements and increased spring travel capacity

A ball joint for the steering linkage of a vehicle comprises a ball head (3) of a joint pin which is mounted in the joint housing on the ide remote from the joint pin by means of a bearing element (2) of elastically and plastically deformable material, with projecting spring members (6) on the side remote from the joint pin. The spring members are in the form of torsional springs which extend in a curve beyond the ball head towards the centre and of which the curved outer surface abuts against the central zone of the inner surface (9) of the joint housing or of its cover (8). MATERIALS Bearing element (2) is pref. of polyurethana. (6 pp.).
