The flow, including air bubbles separating the samples, is passed through an optical test section, and interference signals generated by air bubbles are suppressed. The appearance of an air bubble is detected shortly before its entry in the test section, and a control signal is generated which interrupts test signals during the bubble passage through the test section. The specimen is guided through the flow cuvette (10). A light source (12) is provided on one side of the optical measuring length (M), while an appropriate light detector (14) is fixed on the other side. The detector (14) delivers a measurement signal to an evaluating and recording apparatus (50).
