PCM TDM coupling matrix - has coupling stage for TDMA lines and second coupling stage for TDMA intermediate lines

The pulse code modulated time multiplexed coupling matrix has a two-stage working area (A1-A13) whose first stage consists of coupling modules (e.g. M8) connected to the time multiplexed transmission lines (Zk, Zg) and intermediate lines. Each module has the same number of lines connected to it. A timing stage (S, H) determines the correct time sequence for line connection. The second stage consists of coupling modules and allows time multiplexed intermediate lines leading to other working areas to be connected to the first stage. The second stage contains timing circuits to determine the correct time sequence for line connections.
