Package type water tube boiler - has horizontal combustion chamber enclosed by super heater, steam drum and various tube nests

Water tube boiler is of the "package" type, and has to facilitate easy transport and erection, the various parts build around a horizontal combustion chamber the steam drum (2) is mounted above the chamber (1) and an oil or gas burner (3) is fitted in the chamber front wall. Riser tubes run from the lateral water drums to the steam drum from which the downcomer tubes return to the water drums. A convection evaporator tube nest is positioned at the combustion chamber rear wall behind which is the combustion chamber outlet. A connecting duct from the outlet emanates into a heat exchanger tube nest.
