Electronic integrator using voltage frequency converter - driving into counter sets bistable opening feedback relay to allow integrating amplifier output to rise to ref. value
An electronic integrator circuit operates to generate an output frequency, and this frequency is proportional to the input voltage which is then used to actuate a counter producing a time integration of the input voltage. The voltage frequency conversion operates according to a given mathematical formula, and the frequency input (fo) sets a flip-flop (24) and the feedback relay is open (18). The operation amplifier (12) output voltage increases until it equals the reference (VREF) and is indicated by a comparator (20). The flip-flop resets and the relay closes. The flip-flop output (I) duration is thus proportional to input voltage (Ue2).
