Speech recognition system using machines and electronic circuit - produces and compares stored equivalents of pseudo syllables and pseudo words

The system for the machine operated evaluation of speech recognition is one in which the frequency spectrum of the speech signal is analysed into frequency bands and form signals produced from these from which consonants and vowels may be determined has pseudo syllables constructed from the form signals which are compared to pattern syllables stored in a recall store (5). Pseudo words are constructed from the pseudo syllables which are then compared orthographically to correct words held in a word recall store (8). Frequency levels are separated and rebuilt starting with the lowest frequency in the spectrum.
