The inductive instrument converter for recording mechanical quantities, such as angles, consists of a wound stator and rotor (R, Ro). The stator is fixed, and has two windings (W1, W2) and another two excitation windings (E1, E2) in the lower rear section, all symmetrical with respect to an axis of symmetry (S-S). The rotor has an air gap in a limited region around the circumference, with the diameter increasing uniformly (RO1). The main windings will induce voltages in a computer logic circuit. The flux in the main windings will be equal when the current through the excitation windings are equal and the composition of the ring core increase is symmetrical.
