The anchorage system is for railing posts added to bridge structures, or for pillar-type elements on or in building structures, with a ground bearing slab or plate. The assembly comprises a shoe (6) which can be detachably connected to the post or pillar (7) with a carrier plate (5) firmly joined to it. The latter in turn can be detachably connected to one or more rails (3) which is anchored in the structure, by grooved screws adjustably set in slotted holes, the rail running across the line of the slots. The base bearing plate (2) may be welded to the structure, or held to it by anchors. Assembly and adjustment are easily effected.
