One or more ferromagnetic parts, especially powerful permanent magnets are implanted under or adjacent to the deformed skeletal part and one or more powerful electro or permanent counter magnets are placed externally on the body to exercise a directive force onto the deformed part. Pref. the magnets have a magnetic force of at least 120mWb/cm3 with a coercive force of at least 5000A/cm. For correction of a funnel chest, a flat permanent magnet (1) in a tissue-compatible casing (2) is inserted under and fixed to the breast bone (3). A powerful counter magnet (6) is attached externally to the chest (4).
