Automatic warp beam mounting - uses limit switches and control circuits to position and clamp the beam in place

In an appts. for the assembly of a winding beam on a winding machine, such as for warp yarns or similar materials, with a motor-driven laying out of the beam when raised, a sensor unit works together with an electric control unit to insert and remove the beam into or from the bearing supports through successive and automatic control signals for the operation of the laying out unit and/or the adjustment drive of the support shafts. The system eliminates the number of manual operations required in placing the warp beam in position, and removing it when it is fully wound.
