Press tool used for making hinge plates - has die used for extruding integral hinge fitted with hinge plate

The machine is used for making of hinges especially hinge plates which have integrally formed solid pins and the components are made from commercial flat strip steel. The machine reduces the thickness of the cut blank in the hinge plate region by pushing it through a die with a narrow forming gap. Subsequently the thicker section will be formed to have circular cross section. On pushing through the die the blank is also provided with rib shaped projection welding projections. The composite die used has wedge shaped block held in a die block seat and the blank is plastically deformed on shaping.
