HF coaxial cable with watertight airgap insulation - plastic spacers extruded on thin layer of insulation sprayed on conductor

High frequency coaxial cable with air gap insulation. The outer conductor (4) is supported by disc shaped spacers (3) which are concentric with the inner conductor, which is itself surrounded by plastic insulation. The spacers are extruded onto the thin plastic insulation which is sprayed onto the inner conductor (1). The outer conductor is tubular and is press fitted over the spacers, by first heating and then allowing it to form a weld. The plastic layer over the inner conductor is made from a cellular polyethylene. The disc shape spacers which are spaced at equal distances apart are also made from a plastic material.
