Packing material which after use can be utilised as animal feeding stuff instead of contributing to polution problems includes a material which can be digested by cattle or pigs and which can be added to feeding stuff. The packing material preferably includes cardboard corrugated cardboard and packing paper and the raw materials from which they are produced are to a great extent digestable by the cattle or the pigs. When cellulose is added during manufacture of the cardboard or the packing paper it can be prior to its use specially treated to make the end product digestable by the animals.
