Continuous sterilisation autoclave - for sterilising articles with saturated steam, includes vertical conveyor moving in column at constant pressure

An installation for handling objects whilst treating them at an increased temp. and pressure, esp. for sterilising articles with fully saturated steam, has a housing with separate inlets which can be sealed, for loading and unloading the goods to be treated, and connections for the heating and pressurising media. The inlets are offset to each other slightly in the vertical direction and have a lock for maintaining the pressure and the temp. in the tubular housing constant during the loading and unloading of the object on to the cradles of cycling conveyor. Installation operates continuously without cooling and reheating, so that energy is economised. Loading and unloading is carried out semi-automatically.
