Mechanism for actuating toy footballer - uses actual football fixed to rod under table to transmit force to toy with realistic effect

An actual full-size football is attached by means of a curved plate to a rod (3) which slides in a sloping hole in a rectangular box. The top of the box carries a circular platform which supports a toy footballer (6). The footballer (6) has one leg fixed to the platform and the other leg (5) is pivoted and attached to a rod (7), the lower end of which is attached to hinged flap (4), which is attached to the rod (3). When the full-size football is kicked the force is transmitted through the rod (3) flap (4) and rod (7) to the pivoted leg (5) causing the leg to kick the miniature football with realistic effect.
