Reduction of unbalance in automatic washing machine - preventing high thrust on drum between washing and pre-spinning stages

Unbalance due to non-uniform distribution of washing in the drum of an automatic washing machine is reduced, the drum having three speeds for washing, pre-spinning and spinning, by maintaining the ratio of washing to pre-spinning speed at not more than 1:1.3, pref. 1:1.15. Pref. centrifugal acceleration at the outermost point of the drum wall is 1.33 g during pre-spinning. Pref. a low-speed motor is used for washing, a high-speed motor for spinning, and both for pre-spinning.
