The transceiver antenna for producing defined polarisation comprises two or more discrete antenna elements of chosen and also frequency dependent, polarisation, possibly with reflectors. To form defined polarisation a discrete antenna element, preferably of the same type, is provided in mirror image relationship to each discrete antenna element, relative to a given plane. When an arrangement that is not in mirror image symmetry, with reference to the discrete antenna element(s) is used, mirror symmetry is brought about by the summation of the output voltages of the discrete antenna elements.
