A lubricating device is for use with a motorised compressor of an hermetically sealed small cooling devices which have vertical drive shafts. The shafts are supported on thrust bearings into the lower ends of which are inserted supports of suction type (1) which dip into a lubricating oil sump. The oil suction apparatus has drive surfaces which are angled internally and which are cut into the free end of the supports. The drive surfaces of the tubular supports are angled towards the diametral plane of the support and are of cylindrical segment design the recessed side edges of which have different axial recessed lengths.
