A process for the cremation of compete or parts of corpses of humans and animals is also used for the incineration of pathological rubbish and unwanted combustible matter and it is designed to use the material being cremated as a supplementary fuel. The whole of the cremation or incineration process takes place within an externally heated, air tight sealed container (5). The gaseous products and materials produced during the cremation or incineration process within the sealed container are removed by means of an exhaust type suction pipeline (6) and enter the combustion mixture (2) being used as a fuel to heat the furnace from the outside. Complete combustion of these gases is obtained.
