Atomic fluorine and byproducts containing fluorine are produced in the reaction chamber (10) as a result of a hypergolic reaction. The laser comprises further a laser chamber (21); channels for supply of the atomic flourine and byproducts from reaction chamber (10) to the laser chamber (21) and a device (16) for hydrogen and deuterium injection into the laser chamber (21). Means are provided for the removal of the reagents from the laser. An annular cooling device is also added to the circumference of the chamber as the temperature attached is in the region of 1600 deg.k.
