A tag of tearing off a calibrated strip similar to a sealing ticket from the neck of a vessel, which is formed, filled and closed by blow-filling techniques, is formed in two stages. In the blow mould, the stretching arbor presses out the material from the zone of the vessel neck into a cavity in which a rib forms a depression for a loop. In the following tool with the attachment for forming and closing the screw cap, a radially displaceable cutter releases the tag by cutting part way through the projection formed in cavity. No expensive tooling is required. The use of spew which tends to create difficulties as regards the sealing of the vessels is avoided.
