The device is for the rapid setting of the strength of impact desired on counter strike hammers having coupled drives. The drive for the coupled driver is provided by means of a piston which is acted upon by compressed air for various lengths of time. In addition to 2456481 a throttle flap is built into the compressed air input pipe leading to the piston. The throttle flap can e operated by means of a hand lever (6) and can be set in a static position.
