The hair curler consists of a short tube (1) of metal or plastic with the diameter slightly smaller midway along the length so that the longitudinal profile of the tube is concave. The wall of the tube is provided with a number of longitudinal slots (2) half of which extend almost to each end and are alternated with slots having a central bridge (5). Short rods (3) with a central cut-out fit into the slots (2) on either side of the central bridge (5). The outer edges of the rods (3) are provided with teeth (3') which act as combs when the hair is being curled. Additional pins can be fitted in the slots (2) without the central bridge (5).
