摘要
The helical or spiral springs are made from cylindrical or tapering spring steel wire processed from coil by straightening, stripping, cutting to length, heating and winding. The wire lengths are no longer straightened after stripping and before winding and the length tolerances are hence accurately maintained since no plastic deformation takes place. The wire stock is heated immediately after stripping, and cutting to length is carried out after heating of the wire stock. The plant performance is three to six hundred springs per hour for wire lengths from three to four metres for spring diameters from ten to twenty millimetres. Space occupied by the plant is twenty five metres long and four metres wide.
