Omnidirectional loudspeaker unit with identical speakers - has speakers systematically arranged inside suspended spherical housing beneath latters equatorial plane

The loudspeaker unit has two or more series-coupled loudspeakers in a common spherical housing. The speakers are arranged symmetrically about the axis that passes at right angles through the centre of the equatorial plane of the sphere and the axis of each speaker is at 45 deg. to this equatorial plane -- i.e. the speakers lie on the underside of the sphere. The top half of the sphere carries the connector assembly. The three loudspeakers have the same impedance -- pref. 8 ohms. The advantage of the unit lies in its accommodating any number of loudspeakers and in having omnidirectional properties.
