Elevating working platform with spindle drive - has electric motor for turning spindle which engages with ladder

The e.g. one-man working platform (1) has the spindle (3) attached to it whereby the spindle engages with at least three rungs of the ladder (2). Four rollers attached to the ends of the platform's horizontal framework engage behind the stringers of the ladder. The electric motor turns the spindle so that the platform can be raised or lowered at a speed of approx. 10m/min. The spindle is made of metal or plastic. Current is supplied to the motor via a cable or conducting rail. The platform is designed for use on e.g. high narrow constructions such as chimneys or deep shafts as found in mines.
