Reinforced concrete towers projecting above lower atmosphere - carry wind turbines and have space for other purposes

One or more towers of reinforced concrete construction several hundred metres high are built so as to project above the layer of the atmosphere in immediate contact with the earth. At the top of each tower are mounted at least three wind driven turbines of the Hermann Honef or similar type which drive electrical generators. The insides of the towers are available for a variety of other useful purposes amongst which are storage of water for towns use, storage of hot water for district heating, storage of grain or other materials, or use as chimneys, radar towers and wireless aerials, power station cooling towers, electrolytic decomposition of water for production of oxygen or support towers for suspension bridges.
