Cross-bar switching matrix for telephone exchanges - has switching relays in columns and lines with resetting facilities

The crossbar switching matrix for telephone exchanges uses bistable, polarised holding relay contacts. The relays being adjustable and resettable. One coil end of each relay is coupled with individually marked line conductor, its other end being connected, via two differently poled rectifiers, with a column adjustment line, which can be individually marked. After each connection forming holding relay adjustment a common resetting of the holding relays of the marked columns takes place, followed by a common resetting of the holding relays of the marked lines, with the exception of the relay adjusted for connection maintenance.
