The pump speed regulator for an aircraft fuelling vehicle ensures that the pump delivery rate is matched to the aircraft tank capacity. The aircraft fuel tank may be open or closed and these situations are also met. The arrangement reduces wear of the drive and greatly reduces pressure surges and the fuelling vehicle filter, water separator, pipelines and hoses are not heavily loaded. The required maximum tanking pressure is set by manual adjustment of the spring (19) of the push rod (16) with different membranes (17, 18) and the motor speed is regulated by the displacement of the piston in pneumatic cylinder (6). The differential membranes are actuated by pressure signals from venturi tubes (11, 12) and the push rod actuates the precision adjustment switch (3) of the pneumatic cylinder.
