A safety type infusion device has an automatic infusion stopping system, which prevents or hinders the ingress of air into the hose by means of which the infusion is being delivered, partic in pressure infusions or transfusions. A valve device having a construction dividing it into two chambers is used, operating by means of a float device which sinks to block the construction as the last fluid runs out of the upper valve chamber. The chamber below the construction is of flexible construction.
