Electromagnetically operated decimal digit counter mechanism - avoids false counts between linkages without highly accurate assembly

An electromagnet operates a moving armature with an operating lever and two auxiliary levers. When the electromagnet is pulsed, the operating lever pushes a shaft round the first or least significant number carrying display wheel which is mounted together with, typically, five other more significant display wheels. Two rigid chassis members hold this shaft as well as an auxiliary which carries the geared transmission wheels that transmit the count up the chain of wheels when the appropriate positions are achieved, and make contact with suitable actuating elements ont he display wheels. The auxiliary shaft is end mounted in oval slots and moved in one direction by the auxiliary levers and in the other by the action of the display wheels and the transmission system.
